Where to start?!
Since the first time I spoke to Renée several months ago, it was like I had known her forever. She’s very friendly and approachable and it made shooting this wedding a breeze! When I went over to her house for the first time to discuss the details, etc., her then fiancé was out of town, so I only met him a few weeks ago when I went over again a second time to finalize all the details of the day. He too was a really nice guy and easy to get along with!
So last Sunday (the wedding day), when I arrived at Renée and Mathieu’s house, everyone was running around trying to get ready in time. They were all worried that I was going to find this wedding very rushed and stressful. I assured them that I had been to a few weddings, and that they are all like that! I snapped a few pictures while they were finalizing their hair, wardrobe, flowers, etc.
We then left the house and headed to Parlee Beach to take a few shots. Once we got there, the wind was blowing like crazy so we just stayed a few minutes (just enough to take out the curls in Renée hair!), and left shortly after.
We then wanted to find a place in town where the wind would be more cooperative, so we went downtown Shediac between two buildings in a little alley. Just as we got there, the rain started again, so we went in Bistro 358 (a cute new restaurant) where the staff was happy to let us in and snap a few shots while we waited on the sun – that never came! Thanks again to all the staff for being so patient!
Since the rain did not stop, but did slow down, we went outside again in the alley for a few shots.
Here is a shot of Renée and her pretty bouquet of flowers – which she made herself, by the way! Good job, Renée!
And now Mathieu.
And a few shots of the couple! These guys are sooo in love! It was fun to see them so happy with each other! I love how they are looking at each other in this picture!
By then, it was time to head over to the Tait House for the ceremony. We had a few minutes before everyone was seated, so we went over to one of the rooms – which are all beautiful – and got some really nice images.
I love how romantic these next two pictures are.
And to finish off, here a two pictures of the details that were at the ceremony/reception. The cup cakes were delicious!
Renée and Mathieu, congratulations on your wedding! I never laughed so much at a wedding! You guys were awesome to be around! I had a GREAT time with you! You really know how to enjoy life! Enjoy your many years together! xox

Kim AtkinsonPhilip once again you amaze me with your talent. Every piece of work you do I look at and get such a good feeling even if I don’t know them. These picture you take not only do you see the person but you see something much deeper you see the emotional connections in them.
