Melanie & Luc: Sunset Sailboat Session | Shediac Photographer

Last month I held a contest on my Facebook Page, giving away a session to one lucky couple who could come up with a fun and original concept for their shoot. The idea was to find a couple who would pick an interesting theme or location instead of the typical beach or nature session. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with those, I was in need of a bit more creativity and I wanted it to come directly from the couple.

Long story short, I retained Melanie & Luc’s entry since a yacht club type shoot had been on my mind just a few weeks before even launching the contest. Melanie and Luc spend a lot of time on the water during the summer, sailing on her parent’s sailboat which is docked at the Pointe du Chene Yacht Club on the Shediac Bay. We met on a beautiful sunny evening, shooting around the docks and their boat and finishing off the night with a quick sunset sail in the bay.
