Janelle & Mathieu chose to do their session in Mathieu’s childhood village. As I was driving there, I noticed a great spot on the side of the road – a beautiful field with lots of birch trees in the middle. The lighting was perfect and I knew it would turn out great! We then continued our session at an old farm house which provided us with some nice backgrounds. Finally, we drove out a little bit more to arrive at a farm. We were immediately greeted by some chickens, a few dogs, a goat, a pony and of course the owner who was very friendly and showed us around. He led us to his two beautiful horses that were out in the pasture. As soon as he called out their names, they came running towards us and were eager to get their photos taken! I’ve never really been around horses much so I didn’t know what to expect for this part of the session. As predicted, it was a bit of a challenge, but not in the way I had thought. To my surprise, the horses were so friendly and curious that it was actually hard to get photos of them in the background. They always wanted to come towards us, begging for attention and to be touched!
Thank you so much Janlle & Mathieu for a great evening! It was a pleasure photographing you both at these locations and I look forward to working with you again next summer for your wedding in Grande-Digue!
