“Can you believe it? It’s tomorrow!”, said Karine the night before the wedding in her hotel room.
About a year and a half ago, Karine and Sebastien were in Moncton visiting for a few days. I ran into them out on the town when I was out with a few friends. It had been forever since I had seen Karine and it was actually the first time I met Sebastien. She immediately told me that she would have me as her wedding photographer. Period. Obviously, I was thrilled to hear this, but brushed it off as I knew it would never happen. The wedding was being held in Montreal and there was no way it would work out!
Following that night, Karine and I started exchanging emails and making plans to try and get this to work. How would I get there, where would I stay, etc. Within a few months we had a plan and it was starting to take shape. Fast forward to just a few months ago, the hotel reservations were made and all the details were figured out. I was actually going to Montreal for Karine and Sebastien’s wedding!
Back to the night before the wedding, I met with Karine at the Hotel Dix30 (awesome, by the way! Check it out if you are going to visit that area). We made plans for the following day and we were off to bed to get some sleep for the big day!
Gorgeous!
Ceremony time!
The reception was held at the wonderful Chateau St-Antoine sur Richelieu! The grounds are amazing at this place! They have 2 gardens where it’s perfect for pictures!
The best looking Bridal Party, wouldn’t you say?!
Following the delicious meal, we snuck out for a few extra shots of the couple inside the Chateau.
L.O.V.E. the shots of the Father-Daughter dance and First Dance!
As soon as the First Dance was done, there was no time to be wasted! The party started immediately. I have never seen the crowd get up on the dance floor as fast as this! The night continued on and everyone had a great time! It was a blast!
I can’t express how much it meant to me to be a part of this wedding! I saw so many people that I had not seen in a long long time. It was awesome to catch up with everyone and see how they were doing. I even got to chat a bit with friend’s of Karine and Sebastien that I met when I was in Montreal in June for a vacation and to shoot their engagement session (here). I want to thank Karine and Sebastien for making this happen! It was the best experience of my photography career and I will never forget it. I can’t wait to see you guys again and I hope that it will be very very soon! xox
